Queensland
With it's beautiful climate and weather, Queensland is an ideal
holiday location or place to live. The coastal regions are most popular for visitors but for those really
wanting to experience Queensland they need to explore the hinterlands and the rugged outback.
The coast of Queensland not only offers spectacular beaches such as Surfers Paradise on the Gold
Coast but is also home to the Great Barrier Reef which is a natural wonder of the world. It is therefore no
surprise that Queensland has the longest stretch of coastline in any Australian state that is suited to
recreational purposes.
Despite being a long distance from the bulk of Australia's population (mainly in Sydney and
Melbourne), Queensland is still Australia's holiday state which attracts many domestic and international
visitors. Because of it's geographic location it enjoys year long sunny days.
Water sports are very popular for tourists and include such activities as fishing, surfing,
boating, snorkeling & diving. Hitting the outback road in a 4WD is also very rewarding since there are loads of
towns and people that are full of character in Outback Queensland.
